You can view all the members of your project by navigating to Project Settings β Members.Members collaborate based on their assigned permissions. Only users with the "Project Admin" role can manage project members; other roles can only view member details without making changes.Inviting Members to a Project#
You can invite new collaborators from outside your team, or quickly pull in existing team members. To start, click either the Invite button on the left sidebar of the project page, or the + Add button at the top right of the member management page. Both actions will open the unified project invitation interface.Important Note regarding Permissions:1.
Only Project Admins can add or invite members to a project.
2.
If you are a Project Admin but not a Team Admin, you can still invite external users via Link or Email. However, you will not have the permission to customize their Team Role or their access to Other Projects (these options will be disabled and locked to safe, restricted default values).
You can invite users to the current project using three distinct methods:1. Invite via Link / Email (Direct External Invitation)#
Use these tabs to bring in cross-departmental development secondments or outsourced personnel directly from the outside. By inviting them at the "project level", you can prevent them from accessing unrelated business areas.Project Permissions: Determines their capabilities within the current project (e.g., Editor, Read-only).
Team Role: Once they accept the project invitation, they will simultaneously be "pulled into" the Team that owns the project. You must assign them a team title here (e.g., establishing them as a formal Team Member). (Note: Requires Team Admin privileges to modify).
Other Projects: This is a critical option unique to external project invitations. It is strongly recommended to keep this set to Forbidden for external collaborators. This ensures that although the invitee nominally joins the Team, their visibility is strictly locked to this specific project, completely preventing them from seeing any other confidential projects within the team! (Note: Requires Team Admin privileges to modify).
Invitations sent via link / email are valid for 7 days.
2. Select from Team (Add from Existing Pool)#
This is the most common and straightforward internal operation panel. If your team already has dozens of personnel who haven't joined this specific project yet, you can directly check their names under this tab and assign their Project Permissions. This quickly adds them to the project without having to deal with complex cross-level mapping relationships.Managing Member Details & Permissions#
Click the settings button on the right of a member's name to open the member details page. There, you can configure more advanced settings for the selected member. If you are a Project Admin but not a Team Admin, you will not have the permission to customize their Team Role or their access to Other Projects.
1.
Name: Assign a nickname for easier identification within the project. Members can also modify their own nicknames.
2.
Project Role: Assign a role to control access to project functions (e.g., editing endpoints or running automated tests). Roles are managed at the team or organization level. Learn more here. 3.
Remove Member: Remove a member from the project. They will lose access to project data but will still remain part of the broader team. To completely remove them from the team itself, you must go to the team member management page.
